At Bountiful Financial, we’re blessed to learn Christian principles from a variety of faith perspectives. One idea that has resonated with me is the call to “enhance the common good,” a principle taught across Christian traditions and particularly emphasized by Catholics.

Pope St. John XXIII described the common good as “the sum total of social conditions which allow people, either as groups or individuals, to reach their fulfillment more fully and more easily.”

This powerful idea, anchored in justice, unity, and love for our neighbors, can serve as both a foundation for investing and a guiding principle for life. Whenever we act to enhance the common good, we align ourselves with a higher purpose—God’s purpose—to help all people reach their divine potential.
