Regulatory Information

Bountiful Financial’s goals are to comply with relevant regulations, anticipate changes in the regulatory environment, and proactively apply industry best practices, even voluntarily.

Bountiful manages its indices according to voluntary standards established by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) in its “Principles for Financial Benchmarks.” Similar regulations in other jurisdictions, such as the European Union’s Benchmark Regulation, incorporate many of the same principles.

Bountiful Financial strives to be in full compliance with the IOSCO principles. While not currently subject to EU Benchmark Regulation, Bountiful Financial voluntarily complies with its principles.

These regulatory regimes include the following principles and guidelines:

  • An “Administrator” that has overall responsibility for the integrity of the benchmark.
  • Oversight of third parties who contribute to the establishment of the benchmark.
  • Establishment of policies and procedures to manage potential conflicts of interest.
  • A documented and transparent operational control Framework.
  • Effective internal oversight of the Administrator.

Bountiful Financial recognizes the power of these principles to protect the integrity of its benchmarks and many other products. Even though Bountiful’s faith-based investment Frameworks aren’t explicitly subject to these regulations, Bountiful relies on many of these principles as it builds, curates, and governs the Frameworks.
